Our Community Group
The community group has been in existence since 2014 and its main aim is to secure funding for different projects and activities throughout the parish.
The Community Group has purchased one defibrillator for the parish, sited at the centre of the parish at Holme St. Cuthbert School and helped in the purchase of a second one for Mawbray. Additionally 2 bus shelters on the B5300 have been refurbished and in 2017 Newtown village pond was restored through funding from the group.
The Community Group has also purchased flower bulbs for planting around the parish and has organized several successful bus trips, quiz nights and table top sales.

A newsletter is produced 3 times a year by the Community Group giving useful information and details about what is on in the parish.
